5 Steps To Prosper God’s Way
Do you believe God wants you to prosper?
Well, He does. It’s in His word.
“Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].”
3 JOHN 1:2 AMP
To prosper means to be successful, have more than enough, advance, to have peace, etc.
Prosperity is not only financial but also other areas of life.
When you prosper financially, i.e., you don’t have to worry about money, you have peace.
When you prosper physically (in excellent health), emotionally (think right thoughts), spiritually (personal relationship with God) etc, there is peace.
So prosperity brings peace. No wonder God wants prosperity for us.
Here are 5 steps we need to do in order to prosper:
- Seek God first – Put God first in every area of your life. Every. Day. Not just on Sundays. Lean on Him and trust in Him for everything.
Matthew 6:33 – “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”NKJV
The kingdom is God’s way of doing things. Righteousness means to be in right relationship with God. So if we learn how to do things the way God wants us to do it and follow through, and put our faith and dependence on Him, then “God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
- Love one another – This is one of the greatest commandment God has given us. God is love. He will not prosper us if we don’t show love to others.
1 Peter 3:8 – “Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.”
John 15:12 – “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. “
- Obey God’s Word – Whatever God says to do in His word, do. Whatever He says not to do, don’t do.
It’s as simple as that. Obey and prosper.
James 1:22-25 – “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”
Luke 11: 28 – … blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
- Tithe/Give – Give 10% of your income to God and He will prosper you.
Malachi 3:10 – “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.“
- Believe & Receive – We need to believe and do what God says to do, and receive the blessings He so readily wants to give us.
Religion has taught us that God wants us in poverty and that we shouldn’t be wealthy. It is clearly stated in the Word that God wants us to prosper in every area of our lives.
Mark 11:24 – “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (NKJV)
We can prosper and live the blessed life God has for us. We don’t have to live in poverty or just barely have enough to get by until Jesus comes.
We can have the abundant life right now and have more than enough to not only take care of our family but also be a blessing to others.
